♥ BRAZIL ♥ From Iguasu Falls to Sao Paolo to The Atlantic Coast, Paraty....

2 Nov >> Iguassu Falls (Brazil to Argentina to see Falls from Argentina side)
Bgn awal for brekky then cross border lagi. Hee. best2. spent whole day kat the park. sgt impressive well maintained btol ah. bersih btol tmpt ni... Did speed boating so dpt chance pegi dkt ngn falls! mmg lencun abis. nnt upload videos later. then walking trails yg agak jauh and lame, naik train. mmg d bes..ending tour naik eco boat . kitaorg smpi kt tmpt almost 400m away from main falls. scary gile der.. but it was totally and absolutely fun !!!.. **

Our visit to Brazil begins with the magnificent Foz do Iguaçu, or Iguassu falls, bordering Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. In order to see the falls properly you need to view them from both the Brazilian and the Argentinean side. The Brazilian side offers the grand overview, and the Argentinean side, a closer look. The best time of the year to see them is from August to November, as from May to July you may not be able to approach the swollen waters on the catwalks. We include a visit to both the Argentine and Brazilian side of the Falls.

Experience an exhilarating optional boat tour at the falls or a trip to the bird sanctuary on the Brazilian side of the falls. The torrential Iguassu River crosses the State of Paraná in Southern Brazil from East to West. A few kilometres before its junction with the Paraná River forms one of the most splendorous natural beauties of the world: Iguassu Falls. Over 2.7 kilometres long and an average flow of 1.750 m3/s, this wonder is located in a very special place. The contrast between the green of the vegetation and the dark colour of the basalt rocks with whirring waters plunging from a 72 metre high cliff is magical. At Iguassu there are 275 falls in all, spread over a 3-km area, some over 80m (262.4 ft) in height, making these cataracts wider than Victoria Falls and higher than Niagara! It should come as no surprise that UNESCO declared the region a World Heritage Site in 1986.

Originally “discovered” in 1541 by the Spaniard Juan Alvar Nuñez, he named the falls Saltos de Santa María. The name we use today means “great waters” in the Tupi-Guarani tongue. The falls are protected by two National Parks—one in Brazil and another in Argentina. Tours utilise trails and catwalks adapted to the landscape of the area, and walking is easy for all ages; guided tours of the
complex are available several times a day. In order to see the falls properly, you need to view them from both the Brazilian and the Argentinean side: the Brazilian side offers the grand overview, and the Argentine side a closer look. The best time of the year to visit is from August to November, as during rainy season from May to July, flooding will likely prevent closer viewing from the catwalks.

Film buffs will remember that Iguassu was the site of several scenes from the film “The Mission.” Not far from the falls, the ruins of the Jesuit missions of the era can still be visited on a day trip. Also of interest in the area is Itaipú, the largest hydroelectric complexin the world. Experience an exhilarating optional boat tour or helicopter trip for a bird's eye view, or simply marvel at nature’s breadth and the roar of the falls.

3 Nov >> Paraty, Brazil – The Atlantic Coast. Pronounced as Parachi.
Helo Helo. Hari ni early day for us. Brekky around 4am sebab nk kerja flite at 6am. Phew… Had a very very good sleep last nite. Mane tak lps whole day kat falls, blk trus kong!! Terjaga around almost 3am. tp tdo2 ayam sbb duk SMS ngn BB . Brekky mcm biasa yummy. Tp hari2 mcm ni abis la.. sweets je manjang. adeh. Iguasu Airport – Smooth check in and so easy. tak payah ada paperwork. Just tunjuk passport and info nk pergi mana je. Then drop bag and there’s your boarding pass. no dramas! Airline ari ni TAM. Bes ok. sgt comfy je kerusi dia and quite spacious too ! Atas flight tdo lagi. Around 8ish, arrived Sao Paolo Airport. Tunggu beg je lmbt skit. Otherwise semua OK. Sao Paolo - first impression, wah airport best gak la. tak de la mcm Heathrow. A lil bit of SP - the largest city in South America. The economic centre of the country, cosmopolitan . busy with traffic, pollution and public transport is improving day by day. Population around 19 mil. “Pavales” – is the house where resident built by themselves and to avoid paying tax etc. Tp Sao Paolo nye govt ada satu project called “Singapore”. Project to build a complex or home area for the population. Nape Singapore as the name? I am not sure. Perhaps google it for more info?

Journey to Paraty, I was sitting in front with the driver and guide dlm van. After 2 hours journey, stop jap for rest. Toilet cun gile! makanan pn byk options. Bought few chocs and realized that WAHH murah nye kat brazil ni . Sbb journey lame, we stopped over after 2 hours. Kali ni kat area yg byk beaches. Klaka je mat salleh2 ni jakun tgk coconut. After a short stop, kitaorg smpi Hotel. Or dipanggil Guest House. Lawa lah tmpt ni. Nama dia Eclipse . Bes wifi pn free. Lps load barang, terus gerak to town centre. Dlm 15 mins walk. Misi mencari adaptor that fits AUS nye plug. Then we had lunch at Viva De Pizza. Bes wokey ! Had Choc Shake with Banana camtu. Then kitaorng 1.5 hours tour around the colonial city.

Paraty ~ the 2nd important port after Rio. Asal2 nye Paraty ni tmpt warehouses. Sebb tu colonial town ni semua first level nye building, penuh dgn pintu2. Cube tgk pictures. First level ni dibina around 17s century. More details of the info, nnt kat pics Shairah tulis description.

Phew sejuk giler condition ok. but i managed to cope well. Alah bay je pn. bkn open ocean haha.. overall was good! met with new people and made new friends too!!
